Westminster Guides are marking National Walking Month courtesy of London Heritage Quarter BID, with an eclectic and diverse walk along the riverbank of the Thames primarily through Victoria Embankment Gardens. We will encounter a famous Scottish poet, the man who revolutionised the Post Office, forgotten heroes from World War I, a Watergate not near water, campaigners for Women’s Rights, the nation’s first Black voter plus the man whose idea saved thousands of lives at sea.

The walk will take us through some of the nicest gardens in central London following the flow of the river
