Four Palaces and an Abbey

Tour dates and times:

Saturday - 17 August 2024 - 14:00

If you’re looking for a fun, quirky and engaging walk to find out more about Westminster’s rich, diverse history, then this is for you. This walk will include some of the major sights including two Royal Parks, Buckingham Palace, St James’s Palace and Horse Guards Parade, but also some of the less well-known ones such as the island where pelicans sleep at night, the spot where Henry VIII married Anne Boleyn, and even where to find the birthplace of the world’s first traffic lights.

Did you know that the Royal Parks are some of the most visited attractions in the UK with 77 million visitors every year? This walk will also be an opportunity to learn more about them and some of the conservation projects to help protect the biodiverse wildlife and habitats that are so crucial to making London one of the greenest cities in the world.
