Churchill – Shopping and Statues

Tour dates and times:

Thursday - 29 August 2024 - 18:00

Shop like Winston Churchill through the streets of Mayfair and St James’s and meet the characters that shaped and often infuriated him.

Churchill once said “I have simple tastes, I like only the best”. This tour takes in the shops that shaped this iconic style, from homburg hats to war-time onesies and of course his cigars.

We also visit key statues and meet those who he adored and those who infuriated him. This wander through Westminster will turn up we hope some surprising stories and often overlooked cultural assets associated with the twice Prime Minister.

This walk is led by a qualified City of Westminster guide, Dr Stephen King. Meet Stephen at Allies Statue, New Bond Street – statue of Churchill and Roosevelt on a seat.
