A Who’s Who of St John’s Wood

Tour dates and times:

Wednesday - 7 August 2024 - 18:00

Leafy up-market villas and avenues with no shortage of characters and stories, from village origins to a vibrant cultural heritage.

Home to great artists and an art school in the 19th century and to great musicians and a world-famous recording studio in the 20th, St John’s Wood has contributed more than its share to the cultural life of the nation.

This walk takes you past some of these homes and cultural centres, taking in en-route the cradle of English cricket, an old church, a transplanted chapel and a modern synagogue. Enjoy quiet streets, appealing domestic architecture while savouring a smart but relaxed area which continues to maintain a sense of community today.
