I have been working as a guide in London for almost twenty years. As an adopted native – I have lived here for almost four decades –  I have an incorrigible desire to share it with visitors, fellow travelers and locals, alike.  I bring the skills of a professional actor, the knowledge and research skills of a university lecturer and the passion of a poet to my work.  My tours are about the people who lived in the palaces and the poor houses of London: the princes and the paupers and my job is to bring them to three dimensional life and let you make their acquaintance.  I have a level of expertise that permits me to range through the British Museum on a general tour or, depending on the needs of the client – focus for two hours on the Elgin Marbles. I know when and how to see the Changing of the Guards at its best and how to avoid the throng.  If it’s literally London you are interested in – we can walk in the footsteps of  Virginia Wolfe in Bloomsbury or Charles Dickens in Clerkenwell. Likewise we can slope down into the seedy underbelly of the city; in pursuit of Jack the Ripper or Jonathan Wilde, aka The Thief Taker – the pleasure is mine.
