David loves London, and is a qualified City of Westminster, City of London, Islington and Camden Guide. He is interested in both local history and genealogy. In Westminster he has lead many walks in both the Marylebone area and the Mayfair area. While studying at the Institute of Historical Research his dissertation for his Masters looked at the impact of the River Tyburn on urban development – Westminster’s main hidden river that rises in Hampstead, and flows underground through Marylebone, Mayfair and Pimlico.
David led the teams that founded the guiding company Footprints of London, and the team that kicked off the Camden Tour Guides Association. He now lives in St Albans, and has retired from leading guiding walks in London – but now acts as Webmaster for the Westminster Guides.
