Westminster Guides Changing the Guard

Westminster Guides Launch New Site!

Finally, after months and months of hard work, here it is! The brand new, public face of the City of Westminster Guide Lecturers’ Association.

Following ten successful years as a growing community of westminster guides, sharing our knowledge of and enthusiasm for Westminster with people from around the world, it seemed only appropriate that we developed a new website to help us continue our journey forwards into the next ten years.

More and more is done online these days, and the new website has been designed to be a space where interested members of the public can come to find out more about us and what we do, and to discover the many myriad interesting walks and events that we will be offering across Westminster. Our new Guide profiles will help people find individuals among our membership with the required experitse and skills to provide fascinating adventures, lectures and wonderful days out, and we hope to amuse and entertain with wonderful articles on Westminster and its people.

In a few months we will also be launching a new, revamped Members’ Area for members of the Association to access crucial information on upcoming talks, visits and CPD events, renew their membership, order new badges and manage their online walks and profiles. We will be creating a space for members’ to access information about the committee, insurance, the newsletter archives, our code of conduct and much, much more; a one-stop shop for all things CWGLA!

We on the Committee would like to thank those individuals who have helped us to bring the website to fruition, namely our volunteer testers; Louise Halfpenny, Amber Raney-Kincade, Jonathan Grun, John Finn, Sheldon Goodman, Natalie Krushner, Janet Perham, Mark Lubienski, Dugald Sandeman, and Debbie Pearson.
