A Londoner for over 30 years Sean is an associate lecturer for the Westminster Guiding badge and is a qualified guide in The City and Clerkenwell and Islington as well. He also has an MA in London Studies from Queen Mary University. Sean is particularly known for specialist social-history walks following Charles Booth’s Poverty Maps which have featured on the BBC’s Great Railway Journeys and The Antiques Roadshow, and one of Sean’s walks was the very first to feature in the acclaimed Royal Geographic walks series ‘Discovery Britain. Sean is also a working actor (recent credits include The Mousetrap) and is particularly keen on the storytelling and narrative aspects of walks. Sean’s other passions include art and literature and he has a Grad Cert in Art History (Birkbeck), regularly guiding at the Guildhall Gallery.
Sean is equally at home guiding for schools, colleges, private groups and institutions as he is the general public, and he is happy to create something bespoke for customers when asked.
