Originally from Sweden, Pernille received her BA in History from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and her MA in History of Design from the Royal College of Art in London in 1986. She worked as a museum guide and lecturer in Sweden and taught art history at Medborgarskolan in Uppsala, Sweden, until moving to London. After a career in branding, she qualified as a professional tour guide in 2009, specialising in Westminster. She led tours at Parliament during 2005-2018 and works at Westminster Abbey, leading school groups and working with children in theme-based workshops since 2016. She served on the Westminster Guides committee during 2012-2018, and as Chair in 2015-2018.  She has served as the Associaton liaison with Tommy’s, the baby charity, since 2018 for guided history walks for the London Landmarks Half Marathon and leads walks for London Open House, Local London Guiding Day and the charity, Silver Sunday. Pernille is a White and Green Badge associate member of the Institute of Tourist Guiding.
