Growing up in the UK outside London, I arrived in the late 1970s, to the place I had always wanted to live. Once here, I set about exploring, and have been doing so every since. Generally, I cover historical and cultural walking or virtual tours of Royal, Tudor, Restoration, Regency and 19th Century Westminster, together with tours of key central areas and other neighbourhoods within Westminster such as Soho and Covent Garden, Marylebone and Belgravia. Being a qualified town planner with an Urban Design certificate I have considerable experience in housing and regeneration planning in London, so I like to run some specialist walks in housing planning social history and architecture as connected to the overall planning of neighbourhoods. As an amateur in the music field I also run walks with a music theme (particularly classical) and the entertainment industry within Westminster. My groups are small and friendly and I can design them also to suit your specific needs. I was particularly pleased with the following comment which I recently received: ‘I really enjoyed your talks and will look with new eyes at parts of London I’ve always taken for granted’ (JM)
